The Good Friday Living Stations of the Cross play has been a tradition in our parish for decades, and we are excited to be doing it again!
The overnight lock-in starts Holy Thursday evening and goes through the afternoon on Good Friday. This is a school day, but it is recommended that Catholics take the day off of school and work on Good Friday in honor of Christ’s passion and death, so I would highly encourage you to do so if possible, even if your student doesn’t participate in the lock-in.
8th-12th graders are welcome to join us for the lock-in and play
Start: 6:30pm on Thursday (Before Holy Thursday Mass)
End: 4:00pm on Friday (After Good Friday Service)
6th-7th graders are welcome to join us for Friday only to be in the play
Start: 8:30am on Friday
End: 4:00pm on Friday (After Good Friday Service)

Lock-in Info
The Holy Thursday Lock-in is open to all 8th-12th graders. It will begin before the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday evening (about 6:30pm), and go until after the service on Good Friday (about 4:00pm). We do all of our rehearsing for the play during the lock-in and teens stay the night at the church. Boys and girls will be sleeping in separate rooms.
Please Note: The main activity of the lock-in to rehearse for the play and to reflect on the Lord's passion. We will not be doing anything other than praying and rehearsing, so if you aren't participating in the play, you may want to sit this one out.

Living Stations of the Cross Play
The play will take place at 1:00pm on Good Friday in the church.
6th and 7th graders are welcome to join us at 8:30am on Good Friday to participate in the play with the older teens.
The play is a presentation of the Stations of the Cross, accompanied by music, reflections, and skits.
Teens do not need to learn or memorize any lines.

Packing ListWhat to bring:
- Modest pajamas
- Change of clothes - (something you can wear under a costume)
- Please keep clothing modest and appropriate (no crop tops, short shorts, etc.)
- Boys - Bring gym shorts to wear during the play (for guards and Jesus)
- Toiletries
- Sleeping bag/blankets
- Pillow
- Sleeping mat/pad if desired
- Electronics, including ear buds (phones are allowed, but will be put away during lock-in)
- Drugs, alcohol, vapes, weapons (these will all get you sent home immediately)
- Heat styling tools, excessive beauty supplies, your entire bathroom, etc. - we will all be rocking the just-rolled-out-of-bed look
- Snacks

Meals & Fasting
Please eat before coming on Thursday evening, or pack a dinner to eat immediately after mass.
Note about fasting:
We will be encouraging the kids to observe Good Friday as a fasting day in accord with the precepts of the church (obligatory for ages 18+). The rules regarding fasting allow one full meal and two snacks which do not add up to a normal full meal.We will be providing a light breakfast (fruit and bagels), and a simple lunch (grilled cheese and tomato soup). Kids can fast (or not) according to their own needs/desires.
Abstaining from meat is obligatory for all Catholics 14+, so there will be no meat options available.
Allergies:
We do our best to accommodate common allergies, but if you have specific dietary or medical needs, feel free to bring your own food.
Outside Food:
Aside from medical/dietary reasons, we ask that teens do not bring outside food for Friday out of respect for those who are fasting. We ask that dinners brought for Thursday are eaten immediately after Mass.
